January 21, 2017 (the first day of the Trump presidency) saw cities across the nation collectively participate in the largest day of protest in American history.

Millions of Americans understood that Donald Trump’s openly misogynistic, racist and homophobic presidential administration was a threat to civil and human rights. That year, a group of artists and political activists founded The Womxn Project, a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization engaging in direct political action to defend the rights of Rhode Island citizens, with a focus on preserving and expanding the right to reproductive choice.
