The Womxn Project Education Fund's
Business Consortium
Equality is a Womxn's Business
TWPef's Business Consortium is a group of value-aligned femme and queer business owners who come together to support bodily freedom, gender + sexuality equity, and one another.
We choose to support TWPef because we believe that businesses are a vital part of our communities and should be visible in the fight for equity. We choose to support this work together to combat the isolation that often comes with owning your own business.
A Letter To Potential members
Hello!
Like you, I’m a small business owner. As the owner of Edgewood Fitness for Women, I care about my customers. But I also care about equality and dignity for women and gender-expansive people. This moment, this year, feels like the most important time in my life to stand up for equal rights.
That’s why I joined the board of The Womxn Project Education Fund. The Ed Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bodily freedom rights and equality for all womxn (including everyone on the nonbinary/queer gender spectrum.) In 2025, we opened the A|R|T Lab- an education hub built to empower Rhode Islanders to engage with art, activism, and local government. In 2026, we will be hosting free classes to train educators, students, and the public in using their voices and their art to foster positive change.
To help meet our goals in 2026, I created the Business Consortium with The Womxn Project Education Fund. The Consortium is a place for small business owners to support a worthy cause while connecting with like-minded people who care about their customers and their community.
I want to invite you to join the Business Consortium. Each business donates $40 a month to support TWPEF’s vital work, and owners get access to a private Facebook group, periodic meet-ups, cross-promotion opportunities, listing on TWPEF’s website as a supporter, shout-outs in TWPEF’s newsletter, discounts on sponsorship opportunities, and signage to mark your business as a safe space and place to shop your values.
Will you consider joining our consortium? All of the Ed Fund’s work is in Rhode Island, so we can thrive in business while helping the communities closest to us. Equality is a womxn’s business- help us get to work.
Sincerely,
