Lt. Governor Sabina Matos, Post Election 2024 Conversation

Rhode Island's Lt. Governor Sabina Matos joins a Zoom call in conversation with The Womxn Project Education Fund’s Jocelyn Foye to discuss the election outcome's uncertainty and what it could mean to any Rhode Islander, one week the 2024 election night.

Lt. Governor Matos addresses topics of how codified bills like Rhode Island's #ACA and #Abortion might stand up against federal cuts, as well as necessary protections for more vulnerable communities through the lenses of food, housing, medicine, aging, disability, and immigration.

Finally, she tells her story of how she started in community organizing and the importance of building support in our own districts, towns, and cities as essential work as well as how care and preparing for the marathon ahead comes first.
