Our ReLenting campaign was created in response to calls that went out from anti-choice organizations, asking their constituents to conduct 40-days of non-stop prayer vigils outside of abortion facilities. Our goal was to respond to their tactics of intimidation, harassment, judgement and intolerance with acts of compassion, understanding, support and kindness.
Many Rhode Islanders give something up for forty days of Lent. Anyone who is saving money by giving up drinking or sports betting or who is saving time by not playing video games or doom-scrolling on their phone could use that extra time and money to do a little good. The Womxn Project Education Fund (TWPEF) shared the following 40 ideas for how to use that extra time and money to make Rhode Island a better, more compassionate place.
